I have to admit that I cheered out loud when I heard about David Suzuki approaching John Baird at the Green Living Show in Toronto this weekend.
Apparently David’s comment was, “Very disappointing John. What you promised was an awfully long way from what you delivered.”

As for the Green Living Show itself, I unfortunately did not get to attend, since we had our massive yard sale and then found out that a good friend was in town from Halifax, so we visited with him instead.
But my colleague at work tells me it was a bit of a disappointment for him, saying it was along the lines of “Buy more Green products and save the world” type of thing.
On the one hand, it’s important to get the message out that environmental stewarship should be in our minds as we make purchases. On the other, there’s no substitute for just buying less as a way to help the environment.
