I managed to make it all the way to Quebec City and to my B&B which is a 5 minute walk from the train station. Total travel time of 9.5 hours including a 1 hour stop in Montreal. Lots of time to get a log of work done.
Having the wireless internet on board is a fantastic feature, though it is a bit expensive. I’d think they could cut the cost a lot and still be making money. But I guess it’s worth it. Can’t wait till GO Transit gets on board with the wireless internet on the train. And I hear Viva is looking into doing that as well.
So it’s off to the CanWEA (Canadian Wind Energy Association) conference tomorrow at the Quebec conference centre. Hopefully it will be a good show. My friend Stewart is running for the board of directors, so let’s all wish him luck.

Just how much is the internet access on the train? is it like phone access on a plane? (ie. Incredibly expensive.)
That there is access at all is pretty cool though. Just one more reason to take the train.
There’s a short term charge of $3.99 for 15 minutes and $0.30 per minute after that. Or you can choose 24 hours of access for $8.95. Or you can get a month’s worth of access for $29.95. –Glenn
