Once again, the only sensible voice in Canadian politics speaks out. Ms. May has it exactly right when she points out that Mr. Harper himself abstained on a throne speech to avoid an election call when he was leader of the opposition. Why should there be any fallout then if M. Dion does the same.
On the question of should there be an election, she is correct, the populace at large has no appetite for a federal election right now. So as much as we all would like to have the opportunity to remove Mr. Harper A.S.A.P. it seems prudent to wait.
