Coast to coast, the media is participating in the shell game that is the Schreiber affair.

Will he testify? What will he say? Will he be extradited before he talks? What was Mulroney expected to do for $300,000? Did he take money while in office? Did Schreiber have Mulroney’s illegitimate love child?
Yadda, yadda. Who cares?
Our attention is being distracted yet again from the important matters of the government that are failing to be addressed.
If Schreiber or Mulroney broke the law, then it should be investigated. By the RCMP!!!. If they find evidence, then they can bring charges, prosecute, and punish accordingly.
But a public inquiry is wasting good money after bad. We’ve got far more important things to be talking about, such as Climate Change, Peak Oil, a soaring Loonie, lost jobs, crumbling infrastructure, Afghanistan, fresh water, and rampant poverty.

Harper was forced into a public inquiry by the media and opposition. Otherwise they would of accused him of a cover up. I agree it will be a complete waste of money. You can plant a lot of trees for $30 million
Yes but if they started to look at the list of issues you suggest then they might have to do something that would have some discernible impact on the lives of Canadians. Heaven’s forbid that our politicians do anything of substance.
I had way more but I’m just going to blog it. grrrr….
