A great night in Newmarket!

The Green Party’s rally and fundraiser in Newmarket last night was a smashing success!  Excellent live music by some great local talent, lots of green garb competing for the best dressed Green award, and a minimum of election talk all contributed to a fantastic evening at the Fox & Fiddle.

I want to thank my wife, Mollie, for pulling this all together.  She did a tremendous job and I know from living here for the past few weeks all the work she put into it.  She sang up a storm, and at one point even performed a Green Day song with my daughter accompanying her on bass.

The crowd was made up of our musician friends, our Green friends, and our older friends, all in support of the Green Party and my campaign.  This event allowed me time to talk about my particular priority issues for the campaign, which are listed on my campaign literature and discussed in greater detail on our campaign web site.

And the event was also a fundraiser, which resulted in our ability to send our campaign message to thousands more homes in Newmarket and Aurora next week, during the final week of the campaign.

Thanks to all those who attended, and to the small group that worked hard to decorate the room, and to Nick and the staff at the Fox & Fiddle, and most of all to Mollie.
