I don&#039;t even think they consider long term storage because they plan on reprocessing waste and running reactors on plutonium laden mixes as a stop gap as Ur gets rarer and more expensive and until thorium reactors go mainstream.  They won&#039;t admitt this yet because of the dangers of reprocessing but Korea is already tweeking a Candu for just this purpose.

There is big money, big union and big mining backing nuclear and they&#039;ve bought more influence than the public can afford.</description>
